about

Producer's Notes:

When I first started the Sonic Elements tribute project, I wanted to also include original songs using the elements of groove libraries I produced with my sound development company Sonic Reality. So, I collaborated with Billy Sherwood of Yes on a variety of covers (Yes, Rush, Pink Floyd and more) as well as original songs with star drummers such as Neil Peart playing via their SR sample library content. "Times Gone" is an original song primarily written by Billy that makes use of the groove patterns from Tom Sawyer! When Neil. Nick R and I made Neil Peart Drums, one of the things Neil was excited about was the fact that musicians could write their own songs to his iconic drum patterns as well as play Rush covers. - Dave
