    Heart Land Mines is based on a true story from around the mid to late 90s when Kerzner drove back and forth across the country between LA, NY and Miami trying to decide where to live and what he was going to do given he had all his stuff in storage and moved out of his then fiancee/girlfriend’s Santa Monica apartment. Kerzner grabbed a suitcase and guitar then just started driving with no particular plan. Many songs were written along the way and now, over 25 years later, you’ll finally be able to hear them!

Heart Land Mines is a body of work I started writing in the mid to late 90's. I wrote over an album's worth of material that no one has heard, apart from a handful of people, until now with the release of this album. The original title of the album was just "Heartland" and it was made up of songs written on a road trip after a bad break up with a girl I was supposed to marry at the time. I moved into her Santa Monica apartment near the Pacific Ocean and put all of my music equipment and things in storage because it didn't fit. I got rid of all my furniture before I moved in. So, all I really had there was some clothes and a few musical instruments. When we split, I grabbed a suitcase and a guitar and just started driving with no plan of where I was heading. - Dave
